IGHBA would like to thank all our players for making it to the evaluations for the 2018 season. We are currently evaluating scores and working on forming teams. Team lineups will be posted on our website on Mar. 28th, 2018 at 12:00 pm.
We realize this is a later date used than in past seasons. A number of the surrounding communities will unfortunately not have enough spots to allow all their potential players to join one of their teams. IGHBA wants to give those players an opportunity to join one of our teams, if space allows, and play baseball for the summer of 2018. Those communities are currently in the process of forming teams and will be concluding their process over the next couple weeks. Any players wishing to join one of our teams will be subject to the same rules and standards as our current players. Players from other communities WILL NOT displace any of our IGHBA players. This will also ensure all IGHBA players are competing at the appropriate level and having a positive experience.
We could use a few more 9-year old players to have a comfortable roster. If you or anyone you know has a 9-year old that would be interested in joining one of our teams, please have them sign-up. The sign-up link is available on our homepage.
The mandatory parent meeting will be held on April 8th, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Simley High School in Cahill Court (HS cafeteria). At least one parent of all 2018 IGHBA players must attend this meeting. Players are welcome to attend if they want but are not required.
We will be introducing our board and directors along with our 2018 coaches and providing information about the upcoming season. The final uniform sizing will be held prior to and after the meeting. We will also be collecting a number of items listed below. No players will be allowed to practice or play without having turned in these items.
This year we are asking each family to make a contribution to our concession stand for the upcoming 2018 tournaments. This donation will consist of a case of water/Gatorade/soda. Each team will be designated a specific item. We will be informing each team what their item is after teams are announced.
Items to bring to the meeting:
- $200 volunteer deposit
- Copy of each player's birth certificate
- Any remaining registration payments
- Signed IGHBA Player/Parent Code of Conduct (CLICK HERE - print out the form at the bottom of the page)
- Uniform order form and payment
- Concession stand contribution
