The mandatory parent meeting will be held on March 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at VMCC Room #3. At least one parent of all 2020 traveling players must attend this meeting. Players are welcome to attend if they want but are not required. IGHBA staff will be available prior to the meeting to start collecting required items. The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m., so please plan accordingly.
We will be introducing our board and directors along with our 2020 coaches and providing information about the upcoming season. We will be collecting a number of items listed below. No players will be allowed to practice or play without having turned in these items.
We are asking each family to make a contribution to our concession stand for the upcoming 2020 tournaments. Last season we had each player donate $20 in lieu of Gatorade. This season, we are asking each player donate $10 to go towards the purchase of Gatorade for the concession stand.

IGHBA and IGH Parks & Rec are proud to announce our 2020 IGHBA Coaches Clinic being held at the VMCC on March 16th, 2020 from 9 am – 12 pm. This is a FREE event and all past/present/future baseball coaches are invited to attend along with any parent who will be having a player participate in this year’s IGHBA traveling, IGHBA VFW/Legion, or IGH Parks & Rec season.
We encourage as many present/future coaches to attend along with all parents. This clinic is meant to give you insight on what goes into being one of our coaches and help everyone understand what we are trying to accomplish as the season moves along. This also gives you a chance to ask questions about situations that may arise and how to deal with them effectively. You'll also be able to network with other IGH baseball coaches and share ideas on how to keep moving IGH baseball in the right direction.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on March 16th. Even though this event is free, registration is required in order for us to properly plan for space allocations.

Player evaluations for the 2020 season will take place on February 22, 2020 at Walker Fieldhouse on the campus of Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.
Hamline University baseball staff and players will conduct a 15-30 minute warm-up and skill prep with each age group prior to the players going through their evaluations. The prep will consist of getting players familiar with drills used for evaluations to get them as prepared as possible for each evaluation drill. The players will then proceed through the evaluation process and be graded by Hamline baseball staff and players. It is IGHBA policy to have CLOSED evaluations. No parents will be allowed in the evaluation area at any time.
Each player is required to attend the entire scheduled time of their age group to ensure proper team . Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your age group in order to allow time for check-in with IGHBA staff.
Scheduled age group times are as follows:
13 – 15 year olds: 10:45am -12:30 pm
11 –12 year olds: 12:45 pm - 2:30 pm
9 – 10 year olds: 2:45 pm - 4:30 pm
Age groups are determined by what division the player will play in the 2020 season. It is strongly encouraged to make every effort for the player to attend the evaluations with their proper age group.
UNIFORM SIZING: We will be conducting a uniform sizing and ordering session during the evaluations on February 22. This will be the last chance before the season begins.
