An early lead helped 14/15A Spartans defeat East Ridge White 10-3 on Friday. 14/15A Spartans scored on a double by Will Hastings in the first inning, a wild pitch in the first inning, a double by Nathan Fischer in the second inning, a groundout by Brandon Petryszyn in the second inning, and a single by Dylan Stanley in the second inning.

East Ridge White captured the lead in the first inning. With one out in the first inning Seth drove in one run when he singled.

After East Ridge White scored one run in the top of the sixth, 14/15A Spartans answered with one of their own. East Ridge White scored when Tanner Redner uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run. 14/15A Spartans then answered when a runner stole home.

14/15A Spartans took the lead for good with two runs in the first inning. In the first Will Hastings doubled off of Seth, driving in one run and Seth uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run.

14/15A Spartans scored four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Nathan Fischer, a groundout by Brandon Petryszyn, and a single by Dylan Stanley.

14/15A Spartans collected 16 hits. Petryszyn, Hastings, Stanley, Fischer, and Redner each collected multiple hits for 14/15A Spartans. Hastings and Petryszyn all had three hits to lead 14/15A Spartans.

Seth went 3-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in. East Ridge White stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Chris led the way with three.
